Another year in the books. For some, however, this isn’t just another year. It’s some student’s last year before they enter the next chapter of their lives after graduation. Yes, we’re talking about the seniors here. On our social media accounts, we’ve been prompting the seniors to share their memories with us. On this last blog post of the semester, we thought we would give these seniors and their memories a shout out. Here’s a compilation of their responses and some pictures of them celebrating four years of hard work at senior week!
Let’s not forget, the university’s tumblr is celebrating commencement by letting the seniors reflect. Check out their #SalemState16 tag to see what they have to say about their time at SSU. From the welcoming community, to the helpfulness of administration, even to the submersion in civic engagement, they all rave about their experiences.
How was graduation?
Thanks to the wizarding world of technology, everyone was connected to graduation. The Rockett Arena held graduates, while a satellite showing in Vets Hall live streamed the long-awaited event. However, even loved ones that couldn’t make it there in person were connected thanks to twitter. The hashtag #SalemState16 recorded the day on Twitter so they could follow the feed. There was plenty of content on the hashtag because graduates were encouraged to use it to get their message shown on the jumbotron!
We had a lot of fun sending messages to loved one from the satellite in Vets Hall. Congrats to the class of 2016!
